Arabis mosaic nepovirus

The Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV), Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV) and Raspberry rinspot virus (RpRSV), three nepoviruses, are responsible of the fanleaf disease of grapevine in Germany, and represent the most important virus disease in german vineyards. The full-length sequences of the genomic RNAs and the satellite RNA of the grapevine isolate NW (Neustadt an der Weinstrasse) of ArMV, as well as the genomic RNAs of an isolate of ArMV from ligustrum, have been determined. Full-length infectious clones of both genomic RNAs and the satellite RNA of ArMV-NW have been constructed under the control of the 35S promoter.
